Effective September 29, 2026
Corkly is operated by Corkly LLC, a New York limited liability company. These terms govern your use of corkly.tv and the Corkly story-planning service. Contact us at andy@corkly.tv. Mailing address: Corkly LLC, 418 Broadway, STE N, Albany, NY 12207. By affirmatively accepting these terms when creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
You must be at least 13 to create an account and meet any higher minimum age required by applicable law. If you have not reached the age of legal adulthood where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms and permit your use of Corkly. A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use Corkly agrees to these terms on their own behalf and is responsible for supervising that use. Children under 13 may not create accounts. Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account; let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Google sign-in is optional and subject to Google's applicable terms.
You retain your rights in the writing, projects, and other content you provide. You give Corkly LLC only the nonexclusive permission needed to store, copy, transmit, display to you, back up, and process that content to provide, secure, and support Corkly. This permission does not authorize publishing your writing, selling it, using it in advertising, or training generative AI models on it. You must have the rights needed to upload and use your content. When content is deleted, this permission ends except as needed for lawful retention and the limited backup handling described in the Privacy Policy.
We give you a limited, nonexclusive permission to use Corkly for lawful story planning, subject to these terms. Do not access another person's account without permission, upload unlawful material, infringe others' rights, distribute malicious software, overload or disrupt the service, or bypass its security. Corkly's software, branding, and original site materials belong to Corkly LLC or their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of them to you or limit rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.
Corkly is free to use. Corkly is in beta: features may change, and the service may have errors, interruptions, or data loss.
Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of account information, writing, browser storage, and service data. Keep your own exported copies of important work. Signing out does not necessarily remove locally stored recovery copies from your browser; see the Privacy Policy for shared-device guidance. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular support response time.
You may stop using Corkly at any time and request account deletion by emailing andy@corkly.tv from your account address. We may verify the request. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, unlawful activity, or material violations of these terms. When practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow you to address it. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to export work when feasible. Urgent security, legal, or technical circumstances may prevent advance notice.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Corkly is provided as available and as is, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. To the same extent, Corkly LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Corkly LLC's total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to $100. These limitations do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit, and do not waive mandatory consumer rights.
New York law governs these terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law gives you protections that cannot be waived. No mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver is imposed by these terms. Contact andy@corkly.tv about a concern so we can try to resolve it. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email before taking effect, except where an urgent legal or security change is necessary. We will seek renewed agreement where required and will not apply changes retroactively to an existing dispute. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective to the extent lawful.
